I have great news! I can't even type this fast enough. My husband is in a dentist appointment, so the first ting I had to do is hop on here and let all of you know what's happening... (Sorry honey that you're not the first to know, you know how I am when I get excited about something)
I just received a phone call from Senator Overbey's office!
Yup, that's right.
The Senator and Rep. Montgomery have been conversing...
Can you guess about what?
Wyatt, and the definition of live birth.
Can you guess what else?...
Having the definition of live birth amended is on the agenda to be discussed when sessions start back in January! WHOO-HOO!
This is a HUGE step to have both members of the house of representatives AND the senate on board. Granted, there really isn't anything else we can do until January except getting more signatures and letters to Rep. Montgomery and Senator Overbey, and of course PRAYER... Lots of it. So if you know anyone else who hasn't signed my petition, PLEASE direct them to it. And, if you've been praying for this, make sure to take some time to thank God for what he's doing.
There is still a long way to go, but I can feel God's hand on this. I know this is what I'm supposed to do. I know this was what Wyatt's life was supposed to have accomplished. Sure, I wish I could get this done AND have Wyatt here, but I surrender to God's plan and gladly fight to give my son's life the validity he deserves. To give all the families who have endured this since 2005, or who will endure this, a little piece of mind in knowing their baby's life won't be forgotten after no one else is around to remind people they lived.
I would have never made it this far without your help, support and prayers... Thank you.
