"Don't tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results."
-- George S. PattonI am getting some BRILLIANT ideas. I'm not surprised though. I love being able to come here for ideas, support, and friendship. I'm blown out of the water by all the ideas you are coming up with. Simple ideas that never crossed my mind. Ideas I intend to implement.
For instance, Franchesca suggested...
"...you could ask all of us babylost mamas (and whoever else would like to) to put a post about this cause weekly all on the same day of the week, so people and NEW followers would be constantly reminded of this cause. We could then ask in that post for the followers of our blogs to copy and paste the post into their blogs thus reaching a LOT more people? "
Okay, I read this and had a "Duh, why didn't I think of that" moment...
So, I am going to write a post sharing Wyatt's story and how I intend to change legislation here in Tennessee. Each Wednesday, I will update it with how many more signatures were received the past week, along with any new progress we've made. I will ask everyone to copy my post and post it to your blog. I will also add a MckLinky where you can link up after you've added my post to your blog. Each week you participate, you will be entered into my "Wednesday's for Wyatt" giveaway. I should have everything ready to go this coming Wednesday, so please be on the look out for my very first Wednesday's for Wyatt giveaway.
For this first giveaway, you will be entering to win a handmade Buckeye necklace that was so kindly donated by Kristi, a dear woman who wanted to help us raise awareness to have Wyatt's life (and every other baby's life) recognized. Thank you so much Kristi for your kind offer.
I've created, yet another button for this. Buttons are so fun! I've added it to my right sidebar. But if you don't want to go that far, here it is:
Other ideas I've gotten like creating a cause on facebook for people to join, calling the radio station to get a slot, billboards... they are all being looked into.
I will let you know as I continue to implement your ideas. Don't forget, you can still post your ideas for a chance to win My First Giveaway until October 18th! Make sure to leave your idea comments under this post instead of the one your reading now.

Oh, Danielle, after I posted yesterday I forgot to ask you if there is anyway to contact your local news station? They might be interested in broadcasting it on some level... =)
Yay! I am so glad you have gotten so much support!!
That is such a neat, beautiful idea. Do you know if it has to be TN (or US) residents to sign for Wyatt?
I think its great that you have gotten so many ideas. I really hope that they help even one more person sign for Wyatt!
*hugs*
PS...your new button is really cute.
The Wednesdays for Wyatt is a great idea!! I hope it reaches more people!!
What a wonderful way to carry on Wyatt's name. I just signed the petition and wish you the best as you continue on this journey. I learned of this through Christina at Our Life with Multiples.
There are so many people thinking of your little Wyatt, and praying for you all. I am sorry that there are laws in place discounting your child's precious life. As we all know in this community, many lives are short, but they are lives nonetheless and deserve to be recognized as such. It is a sad testament to the lack of respect society has for life, when a parent can look into the eyes of their child, can hold them as they breath air and feel the beat in their heart and still have to face legalities to prove their child ever lived. You are in my prayers. Please keep the fight alive.
Can people outside your state sign the petition?
